Acerola Cherry Tree

I saw this Acerola (Barbados) Cherry tree at Home Depot on August 18, 2018 and decided why not?
So I bought it and stuffed it in the car
August 19, 2018 – getting it acclimated to full time sun
September 11, 2018 – it’s in the ground and lots of cherries are growing, but check out that crazy lizard right in the middle of the picture (kinda hard to see, it’s camouflaging)

September 15, 2018 – Lots of cherries turning red
September 16, 2018 – Sadly I had birds eating them before getting ripe enough to pick so I started bagging them
October 22, 2018 – I was picking lots of cherries every day. The darker ones were sweet, the lighter ones a little tart

February 20, 2019 – beginning to bloom again
January 5, 2020 – nothing blooming, decided it wasn’t worth it, ripped it out and planted one of the figs in its place
